I received an email from Speedferries earlier this week informing me that my 8am Wednesday crossing had been changed to 7am on Wednesday instead. I called them and was told that they have been told but the Dover Harbour Board to change the times of their sailings. A fe win my group did't get emailed about it and only discovered they have been "bumped" when the looked at their booking on the Speedferries website. The are a crowd of idiots as they haven't told everyone so it is likely people will miss their boat. Also the sailings from Bolougne have been changed too. Make sure you check your booking on their site as when I spoke to the they said I was booked on the 17.10 on Monday but in fact I'm on the 20.50.

Interesting, I'll have to check mine online then....
The Speed Ferries reason is -
Changes to the 2007 sailing schedule.
SpeedFerries was expecting to introduce the second fast ferry on the Dover-Boulogne route early this year. However, technical issues related to the available tonnage as well as the necessary port facilities have delayed the project. This means that we have to adjust our 2007 schedule until we are ready to introduce the second ship.
Lets hope for all of the folks who are travelling SF that it is not a shambles come June.

I just checked mine, my Monday return crossing has moved from 16.00 to 13.30!
I phoned them up and complained there's no chance of me getting to the boat on time so it's now moved to the only other option, 20.45 I think which is a bit of a pain.
I also noticed both the Monday PM crossings are now up to £79 single, I'm glad I booked early now

I got an email too for the 8am crossing but I think the notification is dependant on you submitting an email address when you make your booking. Is it possible to make a booking without submitting an email address? If so then that'll be why only some people have heard of the changes. Not great news if you don't frequent the SpeedFerries website though...

'jamiebea', glad you mentioned the time changes for the return ferry too, should have been on that monday return crossing too, still havent had my e-mail from speed ferries about any changes. thanks for pointing that out.
I never got the email either, I just looked at the details of my booking on the website and spotted the changes. The chances of me making it to the earlier boat are zip (it means leaving the camp site at about 8am!) so I'm on the later one instead which isn't ideal but to cancel now and re-book with someone else will add a fortune to the cost of the crossing.
