companies who rescue hard drives

anyone recommend one? have a friend ( honest its not me! ) whos hardrive is dead ( just makes ticking noise ) and is willing to spend cash to rescue it thanks to his non existant backing up routine. Anyone know any good companies?

never used them mind do a search for hard disk recovery on the web and you will get load of options
its not cheap mind they charge i think on the size of the disk not the amount of data they recover it would at a guess be in excess of £300

thanks - quick search on google has come up with www.easyrecovery.co.uk dunno if anyone has used them theyre only £250 i thought it was £1000 odd to recover things seems quite good.

We always send our customers to Xytron in Hereford if the recovery is beyond us.

second these

they will pick up your disc/hd and then report on it and get back to you asap

no hard sell

they are not cheap ours cost £1500
