Hi

Seems that I'm getting pulled over more often in the last few months than I have been in years.

I'm getting pulled probably 10 times a month - some days twice a day. Bike or car I'm just getting alot of attention of late. Normal things like on the bike that it's a little bit muddy sometimes so the plate might not be exactly readable. 9 times out of 10 they don't bother but it's every bloody day at the moment !! I've got away with it all (apart from the seatbelt fine today !)

ANyone else notice that plod seems more active than usual - have the installed expresso machines in all the stations or is there a new eccentive scheme ?

Are you sure you have'nt annoyed somebody who wears blue for a living? That level of knocks should be of interest to the local chief.

I'm sure that would be a fine suggestion if woof's vehicles and driving style were straight out of Roadcraft.

2 points - on reflection using the word "tugged" was not a good idea - if I wanted to avoid anyone cracking off - duh done it again

and whooz - you know exactly how I drive - surely the now departed but always remembered James - would recounted tales of my driving skills - Leroy still is several shades lighter than he should be and can still be heard muttering - surely that's not possible !

Perhaps the bike is getting known and it's time to change it - anyone want to buy an unregistered Repsol 900 Fireblade - good up to 185mph. £2k

I would suggest that if in 99% of cases they find nothing wrong then a letter of complaint to the head honcho at your local station might be in order. Using words like Police harrasment usually gets their attention. You should then find that the level of attention given to you by the BiB reduces.

The more facts about dates and times of being stopped the better to back up your claim.

I was tempted to post something along those lines, but as I am mature I dont need to lower myself to this kind of humour.
Keep it up(no pun intended)

True, but then you complain again that the situation has got worse and you will be talking to a laywer about Police harrasment.

They are not allowed to harrass people with no proof of a crime. They are obviously working on the principal that if they stop you often enough they will catch you out. This is not acceptable behaviour. They need to actually believe that there is an offence occuring/about to occur not just "oh it's that bloke Woof, lets pull him over again 'cos we are sure he's upto no good really".

Don't let them get away with harrasing you. Ask Outlaw, I'm sure he can help out with what to say from what he's said on this forum. (no offense meant Outlaw )

Woof, if your confident that everything is legal, then you should be in contact with your chief constable, an ex workmate was getting stopped like you some years ago, although being small they probably thought kid/joyriding any way a couple of phone calls and it went away, might be worth a try mate

Hey herts

but you know they never check the plate ! I had the bike for over a year - done 8k on it and never had a problem with the reg. BOught off a mate who had it off a team (who I know), who had imported it from the US. No one has ever been worried about the paperwork. Sounds pretty dodgy really ! LOL

In all seriousness - I'm getting pulled over in different counties and across the Met. Riding a flash bike and a driving a flash car just gets more attention than driving a bog standard bike or car.

My riding and driving style haven't changed so I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed an increase of road side stops ?

actually I have as well...and considering how little time Im getingto spend in the UK at the moment thats a shock.

I am used to getnig pulled a LOT in a certain car of mine, but thats actually stopped a bit recently...however. Ive been pulled 4 times in the last 3 months for 'road awareness' stops.

one in central london (did tax and wheel check and 'what are you lads up to' questions)
one in Hampshire (said it was speed awareness and there'd been lots of fatalities on main road)
2 in herts...just random look at vehicle checks.

3 different cars, never speeding, no charge/producer or anything.

personally it dont bother me as am used to it, but I had noticed
