Which Cerby to go for?

I am looking on behalf of a collegue and just after some advice on which engine Cerb is the one to go for?

Is the S6 reliable as an every day car what are the likely maintenance costs etc?

Having owned a couple of Chims i am familiar with what to look out for with TVR'S but is there anything in particular that i should be aware of with a Cerby?

The v8 engines are reputed to be more reliable than the early speed 6's, but I guess most of these problems have been ironed out with the use of this engine in other models.

Between the V8's there's not much to choose in performance terms between the standard 4.2 and 4.5 but the 4.5 is more tuneable.

When I was looking, I was looking for a V8 one in good condition, with some providence - that was it really.
