Been polishing up the old TAM today and this polish which
was given the BUZZ word on other forums concerns me.

It is alot of work in my opinion plus dunno if I am doing
something wrong but get little pimples after an initial buff off
and have to rub hard to move these... So wash car / dry then
give a light layer of Meguiars Clear Coat Wax with the applictor,
allow to dry after to applying to whole car then the buffing begins!!!

I use Meguiars - great stuff. It won't dry/be as easy to get off in this cooler weather though.

Yep, Meguiars is very good stuff. I use a mix of Meguiars and Mothers. Currently using Meguiars clay bars, paint cleaner and polish. Use Mothers glaze and sealant, scratch remover and wax. Love the Mothers wax.

Got the Mothers stuff from Maxx-Waxx on his recommendation; good advice and bloody good service.

sounds like you are putting it on too thick...also get a soft towel (Meguires do them) for taking it off with...I find it easier than anything else to be honest!

For me.........initially Meguiars clay bar to remove surface contaminants, followed by AutoGlym Ultra Deep Shine (polish), followed by Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection (sealant).

Much arm-ache later and she looks cool

Then just top up occasionally with the Ultra Deep Shine nerd

A car detailer once gave me a good tip.

Apply the polish / wax with cotton wall. It's very cheap for a big pack and does not scratch - unlike the pad that many polish companies give away with their products.

You can get a decent finish with autoglym but can be hard work to remove unlike the mothers products which go on and come off really easy
I would never recommend Autoglym however as many of there products contain silicone which is the last thing you want on your paintwork

I used to use Autoglym before I got some Mothers fron Nick.

Mothers goes on and off easier, makes the car shinier, lasts longer and is cheaper. What more do you want?

Gonna show my ignorance, but what does the silicone do to paintwork?

Sounds like I need to try the Mothers stuff!
