from what i understand 'Litronic' was the company that made the xenon headlamps units for Porsche on the earlier 996s and Boxsters with xenon dipped and halogen main beam, hence they were known as Litronic headlamps. The later 996s and 997s went to Bi-Xenon units (xenon dipped and main beam) not made by Litronic and the name was dropped. All very exciting stuff....

This is a recent upgrade that I did on mine. Makes hell of a difference.

Litronics were only on the main beam.

Bi-Xenons are a later version which is on both ?
