Anyone gone from Boxster 987s to Z4m Coupe

Goodmorning all, new on here. Ive posted this on other forums and just wondered what the response would be on here. As the title says really. The coupe did not fully appeal in looks and the write ups it got until I saw a couple that had csl alloys on and the difference ps2s made to the handling. Now im considering doing the swop. I have a test drive in one organised next week but cannot go too far as its a showroom car that cannot be driven hard but its the handling that im more interested in as sheer grunt is a cert.
My car is on 19s and has pasm so Im just wondering if any of you can give any good comparrisons.

I am going from a 986 Porsche Boxster S to a Z4M Roadster, which I am picking up next Sunday.
The chassis in the Porsche is better than that of the Z4M as is feedback through the steering. Z4M tends to under steer when pushed hard through a corner. It does have a LSD so you can get the tail out if you are feeling brave enough. What the Z4M has is additional grunt and loads of toys which Porsche Owners can only dream about unless they want to spec a £50k car.
I've driven a couple of cars for probably about 2hrs in total so these are just my prelim findings. Once I pick up my car I am sure the true character will unfold.

Looks like its not a popular move then!
Main reason is that moving from a convertible to a coupe may not be the most obvious choice. If you had asked "moving from a 987 Boxster to a Z4 M Roadster" you may have had more responses (indeed, the only one responding did just that)

I had a boxster 986S a couple of years back, it really was a great car as far as I’m concerned the engine was great, brakes and chassis all up to the job.
I now own a Z4MC along with the 19"CSL alloys and PS2'S which not only make the car they give you sooo much more grip, you really really have to push it to make it understeer.
The Z4MC has loads more power than the boxster and the torque is unbelievable it will pull you around in 6th at around 40mph, the chassis is very different to the Porsche as I told a friend who asked me the question in comparison the other day, a average driver can jump into the Porsche as within 15 min's be confident to really push it, the Z4MC on the other hand takes more skill and more concentration.
I personally think the Z4M is the driver’s choice and on a track will truly amaze.. You can also be confident in the fact that you will not see hardly any Z4MC

An addition to the comments re gearbox etc. I haven't owned a boxter but did have one for a day before testing the z4m. I think the boxster is an accomplished sports car which has the right badge, looks good and drives well, well balanced and is easy to drive. I do think that the M, in coupe form and particularly with the csl wheels and side skirts looks sensational and with the ps2 tyres will handle well but not in a balanced fashion like the boxster but in a very raw and edgy way which will ultimately excite you more. I have taken my M roadster on track and it does indeed understeer at the limit but there is sufficient power to counteract this and the acceleration and noise is something that a boxster will not be able to compete with. Choice between poise and noise!
