Very different cars/ownership propositions.

But still a lot of money! Probably a 50k premium over what it would list for.

Getting in quick while the hype builds Always some mug who's prepared to blow 50k+ to be the first kid on the block with the latest toy.

Proberbly someone with a 599, asking 10/20k premium, putting an in ad like that to make his own look better value.

I'm sure it will be in the times for a while. You could have bought one in November from DK Engineering from just over £200k

You would have to be monumentally rich and / or stupid to spunk £275K on a 599.
Its a V12 ferrari which means it will start depreciating like a stone shortly.

woah woah woah........anyone remember the 599 in Evo? Something like £40k of options, and that wasn't everything either. Depending on the spec a £275k 599 could only be 10...20...30k over list which is high, but still not that bad.

You have to put it into perspective - it's not 'ridiculous'. If someone wants to get themselves a 599 but aren't on the list then paying 265k for one to a billionaire versus 220k for one in 6 months time is the equivalent of me putting a five pound note in the fire.

True, but for the enthusiast this just pushes out the delivery times.

Oh absolutely, and I'll not deny that it will affect the market hugely - but enthusiasts versus simply "rich people wanting a Ferrari" is a whole other discussion, I think.

I can see (and empathise with) both sides. Whether it's right or wrong, fair or unfair, it happens...

This has been advertised a couple of times. Loughran has two at the moment, one RHD and one LHD, and has had them both since before Xmas.

Finally the market on these may be falling, as Davey said V12 production Ferrari's only ever go one way after the initial stupidity.

I'd rather have an F50 any day of the week.
