my chim is going to need the seats lowered (im big!), now if i buy from a non-TVR garage (as i might) they may not want to do this (it would mean they have to send it off to TVR and its already been to TVR for a service)

if its an easy job i'll do it myself rather than pick up the cost of TVR doing it...is it easy?

if you do it yourself you aren't going to be able to lower the seat more than an inch. Peter Wheeler is over 6' 3'' tall so I don't rhink you should have many problems as you can increase the pedals as well as the seat.

I don't think that there is more than an inch to lower !

I had my seat lowered when I got the car (6' 2", but "chunky" legs) and I think all that can be done is to remove the spacers that the seat sits on. I can't say that I noticed a huge difference though.

What could possibly be involved in lowering a seat, that requires it to go back to the factory? I would have thought the only practical option was to take out the spacers, and if necessary take out the seat rails (so the seat is bolted directly to the floor). If they're planning anything more extreme than this, it is probably cheaper and easier just to change the seats. (I've tried all three options in the V8S.)

He's much taller than that! I'm 6'4" in my tromping boots and he towered over me at the motor show. My guess would be on an easy 6'6".

There was a thread on this a week or two back IIRC
