How far on one Tank of fuel?

How far could you get (estimate) on one tank of fuel.

I'll start the bidding at 300 miles, but woldn't have much fun.

170 odd. On a good day maybe 180. I think. Pretty sure my gauge is inaccurate and when the needle is on empty there are a few gallons left.

When it was my only transport I used to commute 16 miles to work in traffic and refill on the same day every week. So with five round trips/week the range was always better than 160 miles even with the odd spirited drive in, making use of the backroads and arriving with the smell of cooked brakes... Twas the best bit about going to work
(standard 350i apart from the K&N filter)

A full tank is an illusion. So it is difficult to calculate range / consumption.

With my former 1983 Tasmin 2.8 DHC, I used to reguarly exceed 300 miles on a tankful on a road trip, logging 28-29.5 mpg. I haven't had my current 1987 280i on a long trip yet to gauge if it will do equally as well.

The 350's seem to give quite good mpg considering. The tank "should" hold around 13 gallons, but in real life you probably only get around 10 gallons in them before you get bored of trickling the fuel in. My car normally does around 25mpg, but can be as much as 30 if I'm being careful and just cruising. That works out at around 250 safe miles on a tank, possibly more if you can get that extra couple gallons in.

Always carry a spare can of fuel in the boot too. Takes all the worry out of wondering just how much fuel is in the tank...

About 160 ish miles on £25 of lauging gas.

I'm sure I could get a lot more fuel in, but I rely on the right side failure gauge rather than be caught short.

I don't really think about fuel comsumption in the Wedge. As an every day car, it'd cripple me to run, but as a toy, all I know is I put happy juice in and smiles come out

Remember children - if you are trying this out at home don't run out of fuel.

There is no better way to kill the fuel pump than to run out.

Never really checked it, just keep chucking £40 in and laughing. Alton towers would cost more and there is no waiting for the thrills with a Wedge

At a claimed 13 gallons and hypothesising that I left my lead wellies at home and could average 20 mpg, about 260 miles.

Realistically, about 200 before I'd be looking for a fuel stop.

i bought my 350i from sterling in scotland, i filled it up then aand drove to preston before filling it up again, approx 250 miles plus but since then never really checked. i think you dont buy a tvr for the fuel economy they would never sell.

300 miles on 41 litres of fuel. I guess there is more fuel in the tanks, but 41 litres is the max I have ever managed to get in. also, 300 miles was the farthest I was willing to go when the needle was on empty and I didnt have any reserve

Around 200 mile of pure adrenalin fun playing in the Lake District then its a must to find food for the beast

At best i can get around 45 to 50 liters into the two tanks, and it takes a long time to fill to the top.
I wish i could put in a second filler cap in the N/S to match the car up and it would make it a lot easer to fill and stop pissing off people at the station when filling, ive seen people turn away from the back of the car cause i was taking so long

when using the car everyday whilst my 'proper' car was off the road, I was doing 70 mile round trips and putting in £27 a day. Think that worked out about 11.5MPG (most of the drive on the M1 and A roads!). Therefore, a full tank would be about 120 miles

I managed to get mine down to just under a 100 miles on the one tank (only have one) but new carbs and a rolling road has increased the distance to about 190. costs about £29 to fill up from empty. Hope to fit twin tanks soon.

Not a wedge but at 45liters per 100 kilometers at WOT, I pretty pass everything except a petrol station.
