Having been told by my usual group that they won't be going to Le Mans this year I have decided to go on my own.

I spoke to Andy at Team Langoustine who told me that they have a reserved pitch inside the circuit next to the Tetre Rouge entrance. However, Andy said that currently they don't have enough numbers to take the ACO up on this option. Some people are umming and erring over it.

Come on guys it's time to make your minds up! I know it is £86 but it is a lot closer to the action than Beausejour at £55 (the other option). It will be exclusively for TL customers.

I shall also be posting this info on uk-mkiv's.

Omitted to mention but Team Langoustine need to confirm a minimum (I think 10) number of cars by February the 10th to secure this exclusive plot. If they don't it will not be used at all - and I'll be stuck out in Beasejour! The plot can take a lot more than 10 cars but that is the minimum.

Come on guys - £30, you'll save that in petrol costs to the super market!!

This area is at the northern end of the Annexe at the pedestrian entrance shown on the TL map. Follow this link.

might be a good thing having only Pistonhead names on the site

I'm one of the ones "umming and erring over it"

I've managed to secure some Houx Annexe tickets and we are thinking that Houx Annexe would be the safe bet as we have stayed there a couple of times. Unfortunately we need another 4 or so Houx Annexe tickets for everyone. I can get them at the moment but at an inflated price which we are currently unwilling to pay. So we are still considering this site. I'm on the fence at the moment, trying to get the opinion of others in the group.

As far as I can tell the site is around this location:

The main issue is the lack of facilities for the girls in the group. Houx Annexe facilities seem relatively close so that may not be too much of an issue.

I spoke to Andy last night, sounds like a top guy. As mentioned above, 10 cars are needed minimum or the site is lost. This is a better location than Houx Annexe in my opinion, much nearer the track, Tetre Rouge is a great place to watch from, plus near enough to the Annexe to not miss out on all the antics. The site measues 2000Sq ft apparently so there is loads of room! Would be great to have an exclusive Pistonheads/TL campsite... I'll start the ball rolling by putting my name down for 3 tickets, pleae feel free to cut and paste the list.

anyone know the max capacity for this site, and if it has any facilities at all? if it doesn't not too much of a worry as annexe is close by

I've been told it will hold a maximum of 30 cars with more space per car than you would get in somewhere like Houx (with allocated spots). There is running water (a tap) but no other facilities as far as I am aware.

Just to confirm the replies to a few of the questions raised.

1. This is not in Houx Annex. It is located accross the road from HA and within the circuit boundaries.

2. There is a water tap in the site but no further facilities. HA is just accross the road and there are plenty in there. As well as that there is the Team Langoustine base camp as well.

3. jamiebae There is no reason to 'switch' sites if you already have tickets to a site. The post is intended to act as a reminder to those who are 'umming' to make their minds up and to let people know that there is, imoho, a better alternative to paying the inflated prices to get in the HA or taking the remaining places in the 'outskirt' sites.

4. jamesw2000 My details are already with Andy of TL

5. Not sure what the capacity is but the site will ONLY be available through TL. And then only if the minimum number of CARS - not people - is reached before the 10th of Feb. The problems of trying to find a space in the HA won't be an issue. If only the minimum is reached it will be very spacious.

Landy girl you are welcome in my car but logistics of meeting up would seem to exclude this option. yhm.

It is 2000sq metres not foot. Very big. Plenty of room for 30 cars.
Access is through the big gates at the pedestrian access and is manned 24hrs, so no pikey problems, no dust from twits doing doughnuts next to your cars. 8ft mound the full length one side, 3 bar and wire fence the other, so fairly secure.
I am a TL member and know that all TL customers are welcome at their 'free for all/bring a beer' tents in the annexe. Music, and suspect DVD's in the small hours.
I am not trying to help sell it on TL's behalf and I know that they are making this available at cost, so just helping out a little.

Can anyone modify a map to show where this site is? Is it inside the part of the Bugatti circuit that isn't used for the race?

I think the red eclipse on the aireal photo is pretty much bang on although it might be further up diagonally. The Bugatti circuit is used for parking.

If you go to the camping map on the TL web site using the link posted previously on this thread. The camp site is located under the big red E above the Houx Annex area.
