I have heard that when the roof is down on a 996 Cab, you can raise the rear side windows? Has any one else either seen this or done this on there car? By default they go down when the roof is lowered and can not be rasied until the roof is back up. I have a wind deflector but if the rear side windows were also up then the draft would be even less....plus it would make it look a lot better.

thanks for your help!

Hi Lee,
Tried to send you an email but didn't work.
Got you request though.
Basically it's easy to do but not that eay to describe whitouh Pic.
You know, where you soft top latches on the windscreen, well, when the roof is down, these is a little button (not really a button, it's more like an actuator on which the hook of the soft top comes on when it closes). You press that "button" "upwards" and let it pressed then you wind up the rear windows.
Let me know if this worked.
And yes you're right,
a- It looks better
b- Buffeting (already excellent compared to the Boxster) is further improved.
Why doesn't Porsche let you do that in the first place?
I have no idea, german engineering joke???
Fanch.
