Exhaust conversion

Hi all

Does any know where the cherry bomb conversion [ala the Offord type conversion] can be done in the Southend on Sea or surrounding areas. Cheers

You could have a chat with Hayward & Scott in Basildon. They are a custom exhaust manufacturer and i'm sure could do pretty much anything you asked them to do.

They wouldn't touch mine - "we only sell complete exhausts and don't do cut-and-shuts" was the response...

Or just use Offords and have a great drive back thru the hatfield tunnel

Just phoned Leven, they didn't want to know either, mmm... looks like a trip to Cambridge then, least i can give the chim a blast up the motorway. thanks guys.

Thats what i did. You'll get an almost new, top of the range SAAB to trundle in to Cambridge, and have a nice pose while you wait for the Cherries to be fitted.

By the way, i also got them to fit some nice clear indicator lenses whilst it was there.

that's a shame. but i guess its their perogotive.

I know Phil down at PR Woods in Southend would be quite happy to do the sleeved box mod like the likes of Austec do but i couldn't say for certain if Woods will do the cherry bomb conversion.

If you dont fancy travelling to far may be worth giving Woods a bell.

Mine was done by Andy at APM (to my spec ).

The missus' Griff was done by Joolz

Its worth the drive to Offords, and you WILL be a happy boy next week, and after a few miles the pops and bangs on overrun (which you have to induce with the throttle) are great fun

Yea wot a nice guy at Offords, he has given me a hire car so i can do a bit of sightseeing whilst doing the exhaust, bet ya don't get that level of service when go to the f**CK WITS at the local exhaust centre. carnt wait to next week now!!

You have to bring your car past mine when its done!
If you don't mind I'd like to measure how loud it is as well. Be interesting to see if it could get on any tracks.
