Yup - that is one very serious RX7 - beautifully modded, stripped out inside and nice body mods as well.

Not seen it in action - only parked up - but I gather it is somewhat rapid.

Full spec can be found at www.fduk.org.

Also think it's for sale for those with a deep enough pocket!

Cheers

"Antony Fleming joins the rotary club"

Must be a very old article - Ant's owned various rotaries for years!

That car is absolutely awesome - very well prepped track day special. Not far off being a full racer really.

Quality write-up though!

saw that bad boy fly up gurston down hillclimb in 2005, it was not hanging about, it sounded like it had some serious porting done to it by the sound of the idle which was all over the place!!

i'd be interested to hear what some of the "Jap cars are for chavs" crowd on the main forums think of that...its definitely japanese-tuner styled (i.e. what a lot of the chav wagons copy) but that is an all business setup.

the stickers, im guessing, are to advertise his company (as most cars with serious sticker jobs are).

it's been built for racing, just as the following has. so if that rx7 is chav, then so is this, logically.

<Hong Kong Phooey> Could be!

Please feel free to contact us about writing about your own cars.
Anthony's is the most extreme car we have featured, but as it's road legal we just had to include it.

One of the reasons holding me back from an RX7 in April is the association with Chavs.
I want to drive this time on the FB5k, even though being a passenger in awesome cars is great fun, its also good to be able to drive it.
I just dont want to turn in up in something that will be sniggered about (most wont because they aren't like that) but you never know.

My short list is:
(all of them have to breath fire, and sound evil!)

RX7 Track biased (450Bhp, Stripped out ect)
Lotus 7 type of car (Sylva,Dax ect)
Griff
Elise

Over the past few weeks I've been more keen on the RX7 because I wanted it like the car above (eventually) but just black.

I guess the only other consideration Im thinking about is reliability, since most of this cars time for this year will be in Spain. And I have no idea if there are people who can take care of ANY of the cars in my list. I wouldn't want tuning done here, just if I have problems to fix.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

Well, it's been built to look like it could go racing but it can't race anywhere in the UK due to the lack of cage and other stuff. Looks nice but I'm never sure why people want to drive around on the road in a stripped out tin box. At least with a lid on it helps keep the noise out!

Yup, Im on there mate, made a couple of posts, and luckily some kind chaps are going to take me out for a spin next time im back in the uk.

It sounds REALLY REALLY dumb, but the crucial deciding factor for me will be noise.
I need drama.

You'll get noise (maybe too much) and drama - particularly the flames that shoot out the exhaust, if mine is anything to go by.

No seriously its the main priority for me.

Noise addict (and fire).

Obviously, handling and power are important to, but all of the above cars have that. I just have a feeling I'll get more power/noise with an RX7.

Gruffy thinks I should go for a Sylva/Dax type of thing with a bike engine.
A good friend with the dragon supra thinks go for the rx7.

I definately appreciate their opinions since they know their stuff.

Which ever car I go for it will be about pure adrenaline driving, track days and 100% not posing.
