The club is looking for a GTE racer (Mod/Super Mod/comp) to show at the Alexandra Palace show Feb 23-25th. Anyone out there got a car free those dates?

Pretty sure mine won't have been painted by then - but I'll have a clearer idea later in the week.

Might be worth a pm to johnnymaestro - not sure where he's based though.

Phil Howard is the man to contact re the show.

arent we just typical compies? none of us, with the exception of Paul who had his fair share of work last winter, have a car in one piece. Ive got 6 months work to do to be ready for aintree.
Any one know where i can hire a time machine?

It's rubbish, really - I reckon the bloke who wins the Championship is the bloke who can be arsed to get out of bed in January so he's actually got a car to compete in in April...

Rules me out, that's for sure

Hi Guys,

Yes my car is available for the show if you want to use it. It will need a polish.

The car is based in Reading, so not that far away atall.

Please pm me with your thoughts.

Thanks,

johnnym.

Hi Nick,

How's that crunched front end coming along, I guess if your talking about paint, then the fibre glass work is done? As you may have heard, mine's in the process of getting a new shell. It will be out at some point this year...

Hi Ben,

Car's with Mike Thompson being glued back together at the moment - with a following wind it'll be finished this week and painted in the next fortnight or so.

The clutch was slipping on the way back from Gurston, but it hasn't done so since so I'm crossing fingers that it was a hydraulic issue - otherwise there are not many jobs to do, for once, chiefly because I need to keep the cash to one side for the new engine, which is now firmly on the drawing board and will hopefully make an appearance in the summer.

If the white shell is going to be scrapped is there any chance I could get my hands on the wheelarches from it?

Sorry Nick, the wheel arches will be in a land-fill sight near Tamworth by now...

By the time Ben had finished with them I doubt that there was much original Tamworth content left...so perhaps less of a 'homecoming' than you might expect. hehe
