Meridien Service
Discussion
i've always done very well with them... but that's because i'm quite annoying and i think they just played along to get rid of me! :-)
a few aquaintances of mine report otherwise, but that is really for them to comment...
it's a shame if lee has left as i thought he was quite a nice chap... polite, helpful and lacking the 'smugness' that can be found in many such positions.

I used to use them for Service but having bought a car from them I would do everything to avoid buying another, didn't know Leigh had left, he is a ggood guy. Tim Bate used to be their good tech and left to setup Emblem, His father used to own my 355. I've only heard good things about Emblem
Have had some work done by them which they seemed pretty good with to be honest, they are a tad stuck up but i guess thats to be expected.
I use Emblem (Ferrari & Maserati specialist) who are very good, they give full photographic back up to all there work which sits very nicely in the special folder they supply. They will also put all the Images on a disk for you if you ever want to sell the car, nice little touch
prices are quite good also, £2000 for clutch inc. release bearing as opposed to £2600, Martin or Myles I deal with & are both equally friendly
they even have a duel racing simulator in the waiting area so you can have a play
better than the sales brochures adourning Meridiens coffee table
interesting that someone seems to think Meridien lost one of their technicians to them
Hope this helps

I've had 2 cars from them (Nigel), pretty good experience....service dept good under Lee...then he disappeared around October time. Just curious really, as I say an all round good experience.
Just spottd your in aerospace SJ, you must be near Hurn then? try Emblem, or at least pop along for a look, small outfit but quite impressive
I have used them a number of times to try and resolve a long standing vibration issue with my Maser (Coupe GT) all of which has been under warranty. Lee left half way through the first visit (10 weeks of it!!) with a shoulder problem and was told he needed to give it total rest. My understanding is that he is supposed to be returning at some point just not sure when. I felt you could trust Lee to tell it to you straight and I am sure the reason my first visit was 10 weeks was because he left half way through. Chris is pleasant enough but I suspect plays very much by the book. Have not actually spent any of my money with them other than to buy the car (no complaints in the way Ollie dealt with me) but would be interested to hear of any problems people have experienced with them. PM me if you feel that would be more appropriate, as I need to get it serviced in the next few months.
Cheers
