Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me? I have recently purchased a TVR Sagaris, it's a 2005 model and it is orange. It has some slight damage and I am going to need to paint it - but I am having a nightmare trying to find out what the colour is. I have been told that it is Chameleon Orange, but that doesn't seem to match anything. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated, as I can't wait to get it out on the road! I had been using the TVR Centre in Barnet for parts etc, as I know Giles through racing, and they were probably the closest place to me, but since they have folded its been a bit tricky finding places to supply bits. I know that everyone must be having the same probs, but if anyone can pass on any good places to get parts etc, that would be good too. It's just very frustrating at the moment, having this gorgeous car sitting in my garage and not being able to drive it yet, and as you can probably tell - this is my first TVR too.

Cheers

Chris

hi chris,
i think that the colour you have may be a lamborgini colour,i think tvr painted a few saggys in that colouy and one in the lambo lime green colour, however if i'm mistaken there is a very approachable guy on this website called "gerbil"he has the formulas for for most of the paint colours from tvr,as he use to be the paint shop manager at the factory before it shut,e-mail him,if he can't help i don't know who can!
regards wayne.

I don't know if this is any help, but on my Chim the paint code is on a plate inside the engine bay. Armed with that, you should be able to get someone to mix it up for you.

But it is right to say the Gerbil is your man.

Chameleon Orange isn't a Lambo colour - thats a different orange.

Email Gerbil, I think Chameleon paint is a TVR special.

If it is the Lambo Orange it is really bright and there's a picture of the colour on TVRCC West Lancs gallery. www.tvrwestlancs.co.uk/db/gallery.asp?stableID=40. I think that is Lambo Orange.

I'm pretty sure there are two orange paint codes/colours on the sag. Aranchio/Oranchio pearl Orange and Chameleon Orange, but being TVR it could be any colour depending on what the customer specified when ordering.

I might be wrong but I think the nearest sag is lambo coloured and the next one in is chameleon orange.

Best to just look up Gerbil in the members directory and ask him. yes

Hi Guys

Thank you for all your replies. On the picture which Oggs posted, mine is the second one in. I don't think that's the lambo colour? I think I might try to get hold of Gerbil as many of you suggested, as I am a new member it won't let me email him for 24hours, but thanks guys for passing on his name. Will post some pics of my car once it is painted up and looking lovely!!

Post up your body colour code then, like mines grey (P160). You'll find it on the VIN plate or easiest is your owners handbook.
