What would it take to make a regular Tasmin/Wedge look something like this??

How much do you think it would cost just to replicate the shape???

Ive always thought the White Elephant was the most fantastic looking thing and to own a TVR that looks like that would be brilliant cloud9

I know matey, the owner (if I remember correctly) is Howard "Hillclimb" Bryan, former owner of a red Tasmin coupe seen at various hillclimbs throughout the nation, now the proud owner of a Tuscan Racer and heading for the dizzy heights of the Tuscan Challenge?

Upon thinking about it, as much as I would love to build a car on a 350 base that looks like Nelly, I couldnt sully the bloodline of either Nelly nor a Tasmin by doing such a thing

I would have thought the Alfa Romeo SZ slit-mounted headlight units would look better (and probably more effective) and be more sympathetic to the rear styling than those awkward cutouts. Anyway glad to hear someone is giving it some TLC.

Whats the story behind the white elephant? Looks "interesting" saw a few pictures of it in the factory photos thread but is it a one off? A real white nelly?

Howard took a complete set of splash moulds from the body shell, so you could always ask to borrow them hehe

that would probably be the best way to start

Bought the car off Peter Wheeler a couple of weeks before he sold TVR to Nikolai Smolenski.

Quite a way on with the restoration now but the whole thing has been put on hold for the past 12 months to allow us the time and money to have a go at the Tuscan Challenge and partake of a few hillclimbs.

The new Automedon Tuscan Challenge Car will be ready by the first week of March and so the restoration of the White Elephant will be able to start again...

Will keep you posted as we get more work done on the old girl this summer thumbup

What happened to the Griffith Speed Six? The yellow one?

I always liked that vehicle having looked over it at the Motor Show that year, even liked the revised interior (Cerbera Style Dash Pod) they produced the year after when they launched the Tuscan, although it was never added.

Am i right in thinking that got acquired also?

I always found it strange why it was never sold. Great pity that it died.
