Had 3 porsches now 2 have been excellent and one(911) i had a nightmare with having to get a new engine.I have always loved TVRs ,is it possible to go from a production car like these to a TVR or will i regret it.I know they sound great and are quick its the other stuff that troubles me.I had a scimitar once and i loved it but could not be sure about it,and i dreaded traffic jams!This is a serious enquiry so the truth please.Day to day living with?and running costs would be useful for my research.This is not a piss take i just did not know how to word it,thanks

this is where people usually wade in with lots of why's and whynots. everyone has had their own experiences with their car and it seems no 2 are the same. If you really want one you've got to do your research on the car your buying and be prepared for some bills to keep it on the road - if you don't have any its a bonus but I guarentee you that what you dont 'need' to spend on one you will on upgrades etc..

I've had a few 911's over the years along with a fair few TVR's and to be honest they are like chalk and cheese. I tend to let my heart rule my head, therefore, I currently own 0 Porsche's and 2 TVR's!

Seriously, do a serach. This gets asked about once a week and we all pour our heart out as to why we bought british and not german.

Didn't someone once compare them as one was a wife, solid, dependable and the other as a mistress, exciting, flity, something you look forward to...
