First Lambo

Hi all,

I have recently purchased my first Lambo! Having had a merc a TVR Tamora, I have finally made the leap and bought a Gallardo. It's a "54" plate black on black leather manual fitted with a TUBI and I LOVE it! Not had a full weekend in the car yet but will be giving it a propoer run this weekend. One quick question though, does the TUBI add any BHP or just make it sound amazing?

AFAIK, the Tubi doesn't add any BHP (or if it does, it's minimal). I don't claim to be an expert, though.

Ditch the cats and then you'll realize the full benefits of the Tubi, both aurally and BHP wise.

i have spoken to a few chip tuners recently that rekon more hp is available with a remap. i'm taking another car to be done today i'll get some data.

mikey these guy's are talking 40 bhp from the early gallardo. will have a good chat with my man later.
my man has tuv approval/certificate also

Putting a Tubi on a pre 06 Gallardo will give you an extra 15-20 bhp, and increase your mid range torque.

This is why the 06 model year has the increased power, as Lamborghini started fitting a similar system as standard, but moved the oxygen sensors to the rear of the exhausts to stop you fitting anything after market, so as to keep the warranty valid on the growing number of owners who felt that 492 bhp wasn't enough.
