Thinking of buying...
Discussion
Hi,
Currently I own a Chim 450, and love her to bits. I was thinking of upgrading to a 500 but some other part of me is thinking Tuscan.
I'd be after a Mk 2 (As I here they're a lot more "sorted" than the Mk 1) and definately an "S".
I'm sure you're all a little bored of this question (I promise, I have done a search!) but are you worried about parts availability for your cars?
My Chim is a lot more generic so getting parts is a lot easier I'd have thought. I've heard about engine-rebuilds e.t.c for the Tuscans so that's no worries but what about the little bits of trim, interior bits e.t.c? What about if you ding the bodywork, are the panels still made?
Is there a list of who-does-what bits for the Tuscan?
Just trying to protect my investment....!
Thanks

Made a similar move myself, only my step up was from a 4.0l Chim. I had similar worries when i was looking at the earlier Tuscan's, and would have only considered one with a rebuild history. The one i've bought has a 06 spec 4.0l engine so from all accounts, it should have the updated internals, and by god does it shift. As for body panels, don't crash!!!!
I don't consider it as an 'investment' though, even if they never make another TVR again i'm not pinning my pension on it going up in value....
