Digital Mileage Correction

Due to working away abroad with my company on a last minute basis i had to leave my T350t 2004 in the garage not on charge and also with the battery still connected with the alarm on!!
I have just returned after a few weeks and i have come across a manager problem!!
The battery was totally flat and i was unable to open the car - this was fairly easy to resolve. I then jumped started the car via another car from underneath the car.
I have now come across a problem with my display unit - speedo etc!!
The start up sequence has now been affected and also the mileage reading.

I have been looking around on the net and have found a few possible reasons why:-

Dashboards onboard chip to become corrupt.
This could happen for example if:
The vehicles battery has become discharged and the car had to be jump started.
The dashboard may develop an electrical fault.

I am looking for some advice on how to resolve my problem cheaply!! The major problem is the issue with TVR at the moment.

Is it not just case of finding someone with a Diagnostics reader, plug it in and reset it?

Would this be FRAM ERROR? If so you are not alone, my T350 did that on its trip to Oz. I figure it just needs a setup file but as yet I have not gotten around to removing the pod to see if I can fix it.

This could be bad news or bad timing mate.
I had a similar problem when I changed the battery on my Tam.
IIRC I had error code 124/134 & FRAM ERROR
I was told its the dash ecu "not talking" (dealer quote not mine) to the main ecu.
Fine says I, is it safe to drive over to you so you can reset it?
Dealer, "Yes- its ok to drive but we can't reset it. It has to go to factory!!!"

Rather than let them post both ecu's off I drove to factory & Heath sorted me out.

One other side effect was every time you stop the engine the mileage will reset to zero miles....

I have been enquiring about getting a company to pop around to connect a diagnostic device to my car but so far i havnt found anyone which will touch TVR's.
Does anyone have any contacts to any companys which will come to your house - The Midlands?

Be careful about sending this unit back to the factory at the moment. Mine was sent back for repair 2 months ago. Apparrently it was repaired and sent back via TNT, who are holding the package undelievered as TVR have not paid them. I still wait, in the meantime I am running around with a T350 ECU (my car is a Sag) and an additional 2,500 miles on the dash.

Id rather contact a firm which has a mobile diagnostic device. Hopefully they may be able to solve the problem by just connecting to it - fingers crossed!!
Does anyone have any contacts to any companys which will come to your house - The Midlands?
I dont fancy removing it myself and sending it to TVR Power and also with all the issues with TVR at the moment i might just leave it until the new factory re-opens - fingers crossed

I would ring Dom at Power and have a natter. I also read somewhee on here months ago about someone being able to sort them - I can't find the blinking thread now though

I'll try a little digging as well as my Tam has just had a new Pod Controller and needs the mileage correcting.

If anyone can repair the old one (FRAM Error) that would be good
