Gas struts

Still searching for a gas strut for my 93 Chim, gone through all the dealers, all say the same thing that Power havnt got any stock, which they indeed havent, even done the usual tvr breakers, no probs with 96/7 on (although my Dec/96 Chim has the earlier type)nothing for the earlier car. I have found this site in a search, seem to have a strut with all the right dimentions but howmuch does a Chim boot weigh? Its blody heavy when you are trying to hold it and fill up at the same time! The strut with the right dimentions (SDSS-01-200) does up to 10KG what do we think?

Have a look at Ballistic Banana's website TheGriffithPages
Look for Boot Stay.
They are the type where you have to release some of the pressure out, and I'd pretty much guarantee you'd have no problems holding up the boot of the Chim with one of these.
Maybe search on here for the RS part no quoted first just to be sure though.

Yes I started there, cant find any on RS's sire that are the right size for the early Chimaera, the part numbers on the sire are for the Griff which are different.

Thanks BB, I sgs a go. If I find a part number I will post it. Tree Swinging? Chimp owner may be? Currently have three but do have a Griff as well so not all bad.
