Guys,
I need to order some replacement front discs for my 98 Chim 400 but there seem to be a bewildering number of options out there. It's currently running the completely standard setup so any benefit that can be had from upgraded parts would be great but I don't want to be replacing calipers/hubs etc etc, so just sticking with the standard sizes.

Any recommendation for what I should go for?

Cheers

Al

Al,...
When it was time for my brakes to be done, I used (same size as standard) EBC drilled and grooved, with green stuff pads all round.
Amazing difference!!
I also flushed out the fluid and peplaced with dot 5.1.
Not sure if that added to the improvement,... but the overall result was superb!!
Hope this helps!

spin Peninsula TVR do some cracking Brembo cross drilled and grooved standard diameter discs. I have them on my Griff with Mintex 1144 pads and am well impressed, do plenty of track days and sprints and work from cold thumbup

I've got some from him . They appear to be very good. Got red stuff pads, we will see how we go ....or stop as the case may be.

If they're drilled then yes they can go really wrong, grooved is usually fine but I would recommend you avoid drilled discs.
