Although I enjoyed playing new versions of games, I'm kind of getting fed up with new releases all the time.

Because of all the new mods we're never going to find one we are happy with to do a league, as we are constantly playing with the next version of the Emporers New clothes.

Ok I'll tell everyone to stop making them. (This one is a track add-on).

We'll have a league when everyone actually says what they want to race, we've asked already on threads and had about 3 responses so far.

Double click RAR file, click extract, point to the level above where rFactor is.

Excellent . Thankyou FWD. Don't suppose you could do the same for PCC2005 Germany?

Same principle if it's a RAR file just extract to the folder above the first one listed in the RAR file. If it's an installer exe just point it to the rfactor folder.

Can't remember what it was but it'll be one of those.

I'd be very interested in participating in a league. I wouldn't mind any of the following:

PCC
Caterham Cup
BMW E46 M3
Clio Cup
V8s

The open seater stuff, although good, personally I don't find as much fun. I like the above because you make vague progress even if you ain't the best of racers and if you go too hot into a corner, you can still recover the slide, etc.

The F1 stuff is brutal!

I'll give that a go. It's an exe which should make it simpler but it never seems to wrok on this mod for me furious

Make sure after that in your gamedata-vehicles folder you have a folder called PCC05. If you do then all the other bits will be installed.

The problems on PCC are still occuring. I have the PCC 05 folder. The exact errors I get are as follows

GMotor 2 Error: Error loading texture MIRROR for material MIRROR

GMotor 2 Erroe: Error loading global material MIRROR (this appears twice)

These occur when I have clicked race and it is loading the track - it gets about 3 quarters through load and then they appear. After clicking OK on each of them it proceeds to load the game but the porsche is displayed as one of these grey boxes on wheels and I have no cockpit.

Any ideas?

I'm fairly sure I'm following the procedure correctly - just open exe and install to root folder

I had something similar with the GP79 mod and the Silverstone 88 track. Try creating a new driver profile within rFactor and try launching the mod with that.

I wholeheartedly agree - hence my comments on the league thread.

All the mods and tracks has killed it for me - never have the right version of anything, and hence cannot be bothered to piss about everytime I want to play.

Least, for all of GTLs faults, you could just pick it up and play and be reasonably competitive - which you CANNOT do in RFactor

Come off it with the moaning about new mods. rFactor was designed for modding that's what's there for we only have to chose one to do a league with, you can race with any other yourself offline if you want. With this game you pay once and get great variations. Something for everyone.

And once again, this is only a track.

Well this thread has been well and truly hijacked.

The diversity of rFactor is it's strength. But it's also split our previously tight community of sim racers. I haven't seen half of them online for months... hopefully a well organised and popular league will rectify this.

I think the problem is not the amount of mods around it's just because we have been trying them as they come out because no one has actually decided on what we are doing, hence this thread. www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=351137&f=108&h=0

As mentioned give your ideas on the other thread then the ones with the most "votes" (top 5) will be listed on another thread where you can either list them in 1-5 order of preference or choose 1. Decision made.
