fitting my ali dash

I`ve just bought an aluminium dash plate,does anyone know how to remove the dash to replace it?Also I`ve a small plate for the heater controls aswell.Any ideas??

Its a right pain! The really hard bit is ensuring you dont break what you need to keep especially the oil pressure gauge 'wiring'.

mmm, yup, its the oil pressure and water temp capillary lines which are the bugger!

I bought one, saw how much work it was and thought sod this... So I sold it in the end.

Looked a real pain in the arse to fit, and not for the faint hearted

Well, you're not that far from Blackpool...... and there are a few very knowledgeable and experienced guys there who might be able to lend a hand for a small incentive??? Just a thought......

There has been mention before of someone producing a "face" that simply went on over the top - quick and easy and therefore more my cup of cha. Anyone know any further news as to these or if they were ever made. Doesn't seem like it would have been a tricky thing, same basic template just with slighty bigger holes and probably made of thinner material.
