Lower Shocks on my1990
Discussion
Bought some shocks off a guy in Scotland the other week which came from an S4 apparently. Mine's a 90 Turbo with the driver's side front shock leaking. PNM Engineering is fitting the front two for now and I've noticed this moring that the car is sitting lower than before. He's done the passenger side front yesterday and you can definately notice the difference!
There's hardly any gap now at the top of the arch. Might get the rears done next week depending how he gets on with this damned bolt that's corroded!
Cheers,
Dave Walters

Dave saw your post in the other forum the other day about the carpark incident, how did you get on? I dont really go in to that forum much as I find it all hard to read. (navigation wise that is).
Oh PS you will be happy to know you are world famous for your indicator conversion now. Some of the people here at our Club in Auckland NZ were talking about a chap with a mustard coloured car who had done it in the UK.
I said well I must report back, he will be happy to know.
Regards
Kylie

With people starting to buy another two indicators to chop in half, there's going to be lot of orange halves left over. Does anyone want to do an orange conversion instead, tee, hee, hee?
BTW Iam made up with the results. Iam getting asked a lot later, especially at the garage where I go to (PNM Engineering). I don't know of anyone actaully doing it to theirs though...
Cheers,

ps Kylie, Did you manage to get hold of your water bottle yet?

BTW these shocks are definately lower. Yesterday, went to go and visit my nephews to give them Easter Eggs. Well where they live, there are speed bumps that are the raised type that emergency vehicles can pass over missing them with their wheels. I used to be able to do the same at a very low speed but now the front lip hits it. I now have to drive one side over the bump to avoid a scrape.
Not that Iam complaining!!

kylie said: Dave..re water bottle, no I havn't found one yet. Am too slack to order a new one. Thought of sifting through some old car wrecking yards for something that might fit. Prefer a Lotus one though.
How much is one new over your way? A washer bottle and pump from SJ in UK is only £33.25 + VAt which is 17.5% and carriage of course.
It saves wasting your valuable time, delving through scrap yards doesn't it?
