Anyone know of this car's history ???

Not for me but have an interested friend.
Thanks for any advice guys.
Jonny 5, I forwarded your email but his heart is set on a diablo so need to find him one that is ghost free!
This is a friend who will focus all his love for cars into making it the best it can be.

Why not just phone Carlo and ask. He's very amenable and straightforward.

Was just trying to get pointers from the normally helpful masses before friend calls.

also like to point out that carlo likes to check out all his cars in graet detail so you can be sure that his clients are getting a good car

Yeah I have to agree, Carlo's cars are pretty good, and tend not to have a story behind them, although like everything else they are just cars and can be a lucky dip.

Love the colour.

Carlo is a friendly chap who will chat for ages about any car if you let him hehe, so just get your friend to give him a call.

The car was at Knockhill last year. I personally like the purple and alcantara interior combination but it is not to everyone's taste. The only thing is it has standard exhaust on and it is not loud enough for me but I suppose you could easily change them. Other than that, the car is spotless. Hope this helps.

Carlo McCrindle - he owns Top Gear Cars, and you couldn't hope to meet a nicer fellow.

AL - the car in the picture is the earlier viola coloured 2wd Diablo that Carlo has with leather indoors. You can tell by the higher rear wing and the extra spot lights and older style wheels.

That SV IS the same colour as this Diablo obviously but with the Alcantara interior as mentioned and is also the one that CMcC made me drive to Knockhill when you were there yourself last May... What a chore of a car to drive that certainly wasn't!

The only problem was trying not to grin too hard when driving it and not getting too carried away as 'erself was in the passenger seat and kept making comments like 'go faster' and 'keep up with everyone else, you wuss' - which she can say 'cos 'erself is a better driver than me and I'm not ashamed to admit it, well, not very ashamed, not much, honestly.

Concur with all the big +++++++ comments re: Carlo - he's also kind to little children and tiny, furry small animals as well as everything else he's known for and he can certainly drive round Knockhill like he knows every inch precisely, but then, he does get quite a lot of 'practice' I believe!

hmmmmm - my reply was intended for Al See and I don't know who ALC is.

I have noticed that you have a Murciélago Roadster amongst other cars but was wondering why you had put 'beware' for your post and made no other comment???

sarbs presume no one knows anything about this car. calling ruttboy do you have info?
i do remember graham (wycombe lambo) had an early car for sale sometime ago that had been resprayed in viola, this colour became popular around the se30's era and this looks older than that.

Don't want to say too much on a public forum, but let's put it this way:

Most car salesmen will be as nice and friendly as possible to get you to part with the readies - even when they're just on commission,

Fast forward to an independent car salesman who is not just on commission but gets all the profit - and on very expensive cars - of course he's going to be even nicer and friendlier.

All well and good as long as nothing goes wrong - it's only when you have a problem with the car that the nice friendly salesman shows his true colours.

I bought a Diablo from Carlo a couple of years ago and wouldn't deal with him again if he offered me a car at half-price.

Email me if anyone wants to know more but only seriously please - I don't just want to gossip. BTW I bought my Murcie Roadster from Lamborghini London and so far their after-sales service has been very very good.

I've never bought I car from him. My judgement of him is as a person, not a car salesman, and I stand by what I said that you could not hope to meet a nicer person.

Its a shame that on the 'net one bad experience wipes out ten good ones. Were your car problems so obvious that the vendor would know ? Did you buy a warranty ? I guess any used buy is a risk, hell even a new car you are never guaranteed a non lemon.

Well I have bought a car off him and I've had a major problem with it. All i can say is that the man behaved well at all times and even after all this I would definately say that the man is a gentleman to deal with. We're not buying and selling cortinas here, and you have to buy these things with a grown up attitude. That's not me having a go at anyone it's just for a pasta loving sweaty I thought he wasn't a bad bloke!

Agreed! Carlo is as straight as a die, and is the biggest Diablo dealer in the UK.
