2009 Porsche 911 spotted
Spy shots show evolutionary changes
The updated version of Porsche 997 is already out and about, according to the US magazine Car & Driver.
Photographer Guy Porepp harried the test driver of the 2009 model 911 as he photographed it -- his pics reveal new four-element headlamps in the same format as today's model, enlarged air intakes at the front with integrated turn indicators. There's also an extended lower lip to the front spoiler that runs all the way round the car into the rear bumper at the rear, and the bumper now accommodates quad-pipes and Cayenne-style LED rear lamps.
Knowledge about what changes Porsche intends to make under the skin are scarce to non-existent, but we wouldn't expect them to be huge: it's just not the Porsche way.
For copyright reasons, we can't reproduce the pics here but you'll find them on the Car & Driver site (see link below).
