Interior leather looking shabby!

Hay guys, my interior leather looks abit shabby does anyone know what I can do with it? Is there good leather cleaner I can use, or better still some kind of dye.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, thanks, jonnyg.

Try Glipstone leathercare - they advertise in Classic cars and got a "best product" in their tests...

I have seen some fantastic results of leather being cleaned in Tivs using Ciff (Jiff to you old boys ) and a soft tooth brush to get into the grain...... not a quick job but v good reults

With your driving hoover, I take it you do your passenger set quite often?

Yes, but use plenty of feed afterwards. Great results but quite a harsh abrasive and should be used with care.

Cif is too harsh IMO.

Use some pure soap flakes (ask her indoors what she washes her woolies in) in a little warm water. Use a small firm sponge to work well into grime, sponge off with warm clean water, allow to dry and condition well when finished.

Maybe too harsh for proper leather, especially if already worn. But okay for vinyl/ambla though? Dashboard, transmission tunnel, door trim?

I use these leather cleaners as this firm was supplying TVR directly with their in house cleaner and conditioner for the past 2 years. They will supply you by mail order with a credit card if you call them.

There's a company called Woolies,they do an excellent leather renovation kit,it consists of a leather cleaner,water based dye and some sealing paste.You need to send them a small sample of the colour you need so they can make up the dye,or if it is a popular colour like Doeskin or black,they will have it on the shelf.Cost is approx £30 I think but well worth it.Website at www.woolies-trim.co.uk tel.[phone].Being water based you can remove the dye if you are not pleased with the results,I've used 3 of their kits now and they have got the leather looking like new.Hope this helps.
