In Car Video systems
Discussion
Right guys,
For filming the trip down and the arsing about when your there what is everyone using, bullet cams, in car recorders, camcorders with adaptors?
I want to get a system for occasional use on road trips etc that will keep the memory alive afterwards when I watch them back!
Basically a system with a mic, running off light socekts or hardwired etc.
All advice welcome!

My mate has a system in his Golf, I'll try and get some better details for you...
But it consists of a standard Video camera, which is mounted on a sucker type mount on the rear window, between the seats. Then there is a mic that runs from the camera, out the passenger door near the mirror, and mounted onto the scuttle panel - this picks up the noise from the engine really well, rather than jsut windnoise and rumble.
Then there is also a bullet cam that can be mounted externally, eg on the front lip or on the side of the car along the wing.
Simply plug/unplug it to switch between bullet cam and video camera lense.
Look up a company called rfconcepts, they are pretty well regarded for sports use, and sell various mounting kits and bullet cams.
