Hi I've been a porsche owner for the past 7 years, having boxsters before purchasing a 996 C4S which is my pride and joy.

I've a concern about when i topped up my oil level, under the fillercap the small amount of oil looked slightly milky on the filler pipe, when i checked the dipstick the oil was perfect....i know the milky oil seems to suggest there's water getting into the system, could this be condensation or does this sound like a major problem in the making. The car isn't losing oil as i'd see it on my garage floor!!!

My 996 C4S is on a 53 plate, Sept 03, 26000mls, FPSH last serviced in Sept last year with 22000 mls on her

I hope you guys/gals can help

Thanks in advance

Norman

Thank you very much, i did clean the pipe and will keep an eye on it.

I'm also looking for a 997 C2S, you sound like you know your porsches can you give me an idea on a spec to go for? And what price i should pay for a mid 05 model?

Thanks again i'll get a sleep tonight now

Take her out for an "Italian tune up"

Short journeys where the car can't get fully up to temp can lead to mayonnaise forming, a good warm up and "ahem" clear out helps.

I'm hearing you, nothing sounds quite like those sports pipes above 5000 rpm
