baby seats, bugaboo and a porsche c4s cabrio
Discussion
I need some advice about the c4s!
I currently drive a 4200 spyder and my missus and I are expecting a baby in autumn! However, as my current drive only has 2 seats, I need a more practical fast car for the day to day!
after looking into a few cars that seat 4 with a drop top, the c4s cabrio is at the top of my list.
Have any readers had any experience of baby seats and trying to put a bugaboo (pram) in the car?!?!?
any advise will be much appreciated!
many thanks!

No absolute knowledge of a bugaboo but I bet it won't fit.
I have a 993 coupe, two small boys and a Quinny Zapp buggy - the boys fit perfectly in the back with Porsche baby seats and the buggy fits perfectly in the front luggage compartment.
However, the Zapp is only suitable for 9 months and over as it doesn't recline. Second however, the Quinny Zapp can also act as a frame for a Maxi Cosi rear facing seat that is suitable for a new born. Third however, I never managed to fit our Maxi Cosi into the back of a 993. You might be better off with a 996/7.
First of all congratulations!
Having recently bought a 993 and having an 18 month old I am also looking for baby seats. Ebay Germany is one good source for used original Porsche seats. Britax used to make a Group 1 seat to go in the 911 called a Freeway. This is now being sold under the Fisher-Price brand. Hope this helps.

Bugaboo fits no problem whatsoever in the 996.
I have pictures but am in Louisiana at the moment on a different PC, but trust me it fits with plenty to spare either in the front booth or in the back seats.
The rear facing seat is a bit nore tricky, but the Maxi Cosy Cabrio is your bet.
I lived with a baby and a 996 with no problem whatsoever.
Now the misus is expecting a second one apparently, and it is a different story altogether, if someone is interested ina fully specked 996 with X51 engine upgrade and sport chassis, let me know....

i've fitted a maxi cosi into my 996tt with no problems - just remove the bottom cushion which is held inplace my velcro. infact imo the rear transmission tunnel makes it fit better then on a normal back seat.
you will not be able to fit the bugaboo (we have one) into the front - if you removed all the wheels and tried then you might but i seriously doubt it. but as said on an above post the maxi cosi will fit a zapp which will fit no problem.
do it. it's a great car and my wife is happy with the comfort and safety for our 4 month old.
