13 Page Spread on TVR in EVO
Discussion
Note the editor of EVO,on page 13,likens the Tamora to a half baked Yorkshire pudding - if he must liken it to food then I think Lancashire Hot Pot might be more appropriate.
I have had 2 Tams now & they are brilliant. Is this just another instance of someone trying to knock the TVR marque ?
I suppose he does say something positive about the T350 & Sag & he ends with a wish that TVR become successful again , well stop being so critical mate !!
I along with many others feel that Tams were one of the best models to come out of Bristol Avenue

It's a good article, but very sad.
Not seen a Typhon in the flesh, but I don't think it is particularly photogenic - the swoops and curves look too exaggerated to me, it just looks like a Tuscan that's been stretched and squashed a bit, but nowhere near as cohesive a design as the Tuscan.
In one of the inserts for the Typhon article, where they recount their TVR experiences, one of them was much more rude about the Tam.
Idiots! It's a future classic

There is no point being indignant. I'm sure the Tam is a great car to drive, but the looks were a disappointment and it simply did not sell. Fact. The Tamora was one of the first nails in TVR's coffin.
When I see the Typhon in Evo and the 440R in Sprint I just think what a waste. The cars are stunning and knowing that only a handful were made is so sad. We all know the numerous theories and reasons for the demise of TVR, its just such a damn shame that amazing cars like these are effectively the epitaph of a once proud marque.
Everyone has a different point of view on the design, engineering and looks of all TVRs. I just think that its amazing that such variety exists from such a small manufacturer. TVRs generate attention and discussion out of all proportion to their number and significance to today's sports car market. The world will be poorer place without them.

I love TVR Centre's quote in the 'The Salesman' box, where they said they sold 130 cars at the 1990 motorshow and stating it was easy! Beautiful and loud is what people wanted. And the Griff (and then Chimaera) was certainly that.
Reading between the lines, the article hints at TVR's aim to transform itself into a supercar manufacturer and producer of its own engines was the company's downfall.
The Typhon does look INCREDIBLE (yes i did need to shout that!)

Wash your mouth out!! Ah! Jane hello
As the Typhon didnt come with a sequential box and supercharger (i think i read that rightly somehwhere?), whats the main difference between your T440R and your Typhon?
Just thought I'd ask
Saves me a lot of reading
Love em both to bits btw

At the moment the biggest difference is that the Typhon's sitting in my garage and the '40's in bits with LNT!
