Got to the car this morning an it wouldnt open using the clicker. So i decided to break into the car and use the square imobliser fob to get the alarm off. But this did not seem to work!! Think i woke up most of the neighbour hood. The car starts and runs normally but the alarm keps going off!! Any ideas on how to stop the alarm?
Thanks.

Assuming you only have one fob, and this has stopped working, then this could be a big problem... and my worst fear, which is why only just 10 minutes ago I've removed the alarm unit to send off for reprogramming in order to get back to having 2 working fobs.

Did you try the fob at the passenger side windscreen pillar... this is where the alarm unit is located?

I've just had all sorts of problems with mine, turned out it was the bonnet catch which wasn't connecting, so the car thought it was open, and as a result, barked all night long. I just left it unlocked... and then the guys at TVRFIX fixed the bonnet catch. Mind you, it did take me ages to work out where the problem was...

Check all the catches connect (doors, boot, bonnet) and if all this is ok, chuck some cash at it and the problem will go away!

I had the same problem with mine a few months back.

At the same time the 100amp fuse from the alternator / battery, you know the one under the car in the little black box, had blown or was about too.

Now I have been told that this would not effect the alarm, (fine i can beleive that)

But whilst trying to work out how to fix the problem with my alternator, i had the battery disconnected for a couple of days.

Once I found the fuse problem and replaced and re-connected the battery the alarm seem to be working fine, and (touch wood) i have had no problems since. Chances are I have been very lucky but you never know, disconnect your battery for day or so, and the alarm may sort itself out!!!!!
