drivers door window advice wanted!

Hi has anyone got any ideas??-The drivers window on my cerby has decided to have a mind of its own, in fact it has stopped working, both when the door is opened and also on the actual open and close electric window switch. The first time it did it was last sunday when we were out it stopped working, so i checked all the fuses were in correctly and it started to work again, Well.....today got her out of the garage and it worked initially then stopped again!!, yet again i checked all the fuses were in properly and none blown, and they were all fine so what ideas do you have as to what it could be??? Any advice would be great!!! Thanks Chris

good chance it'l be the connections in the door, take the door card off (a few allen bolts) and have a look at the connector blocks, one side on ma car has had the connectors cut off and new individual connections because the water was getting to them

Silly question but does the door panel come off easily, and is it connected to any wires underneath. - just thinking about doing it tomorrow and want to be careful!!!!

the door panel is easy to remove. Allen keys on the front, underside and rear and possibly you might need to cut the mastic at the top of the front. The wires are connected to the panel so be careful. It lifts up and off

Oh and when you replace the connector blocks hang them up off the bottom of the door so they no longer sit in a pool of water. it will stop future problems

it`s easy.it`s only 8 alan bolts then the elecs just unplug.

well, the the cure was.....! re-connecting the connectors! When i took off the door panel the block connector had some corrosion on, which obviously was starting to cause probs! also the connection onto the actual window motor was poor so re-did that one too, but it was a good job i went in and had a look because one of the window guides was virtually hanging off!! BUT...now it all works great, so good job done i reckon!!!
