Lots of you out there have now fitted Leven Techs alloy screen vents but so far I have resisted buying them as I am worried about potential annoying or distracting reflections in the windscreen.
In reality is this an issue or do you tend not notice it when driving? Car is black with mag dash top with black vent panel.
I've got all the other stuff, h/brake, stalks, buttons etc.I have black dial rims so they did me a set of black anodised buttons to match as the alloy ones for me did'nt look right as the only alloy bit on the dash panel itself.

What do you think, vents or a couple of fills of Optimax?

I fitted them, and yes they are visible as reflections in the screen. Not irritatingly so though; I was aware of them for a couple of days then they "disappeared".

Worth having if you fit most of the other ally bit's. Some are harder to put in than others, mallet is the best option, but very hard to get near the screen.

If anyone experiences problems with tight fitting alloy vents please contact us. There are various techniques (we do not recommend the mallet!) that can be tried. If the problem still persists we are currently having a batch of smaller vents made for those few exceptions.

Talking of vents Mr. Leventech, any progress with the dash panel air vents yet?

Mr. Leventech

Have you considered alloy seat adjuster levers and covers for Chimaera / Griffith models ? This would smarten up cheap black metal / plastic existing items !

I had problems fitting a couple of vents into my Chim. All I had to do was use a small file to gently enlarge the hole. Et voila.

Reflections are present, but so low in the screen as not to matter.

While we're on the subject of ideas for other ally bits, and while Leven are watching (hi)... how about a replacement for the nasty black plastic air vents in the Chimeara? Could be intricate to make, but worth their weight in gold if done well. The current items are unbelievably tacky...

on the same thread, would it be possible to make leather covered sun visors. My car is full black hide and the vinyl visors really spoil the look

apache

I'm with that one, the visors are the only cheap tacky plastic bit left in my car. And they have split.

FYI, a mate has a Fwawi 308 and it has the same vents. I guess they came from a Fiat then?

I'd be interested in replacing my vents with something more aesthetically pleasing too.

Hi Apache, I also thought about the sun-visors. You could esily get them done in leather by a trimmer, but what would really funish them off would be some nice alloy mounting lugs. So that's these plus, the air vents for the Griff, Chimaera and, it seems, F308, and some seat-back adjuster handles - How about it Mr leven?

While we're at it, what about a nice alloy ashtray for the driver's door? The cheap black plastic one is the worst thing about my Griff interior.
