I have just bought some new plugs for my car and was told at the motor factors that there is no longer a plug listed as a NGK "B7ECS" and have bought some "BP5ES"'s as listed in the NGK listing for a 350i. Anyone have any experience of this. The listing actually was a "BPR5ES" a resistor type plug, but I don't like resistor plugs so went with the non resistor type. Have I done the right thing?

I had trouble sourcing them also recently but managed to pick up 8 tucked away on the back of a shelf at a local motor factor. I suspect the ones you have are the wrong heat. Try Wedge Automotive (RT) or Towerview.

Have you tried Tim at ACT, I got some from him not that long ago, price was very reasonable also.

Just found on Mikes website that BPR5ES are for 280i's not 350i's. Bloke in the shop has obviously misread the list. I should have bought EITHER some B7ECS's or BPR6ES's. My guess is they should have some 6's in stock. Glad I didn't just bang in other plugs now!!!

I have just changed to B7ECS in my 350 from B6ES and noticed a lumpy idle but a fair bit smoother when warmed up.Any decent motor factors should be able to get these for you.
