Just tried to start my Chimaera, not done for a few weeks, bad I know, battery been on trickle charge, but turn the key and silence!! no click no nothing.
Is this a sign that the soleniod is screwed, or is there somthing I can do to bring my baby back to life without shipping her off to the garage?

Do you get a whine from the fuel pump?

If so then its not the solenoid.

My guess would be battery

Probably not related, but I had a similar problem which turned out to be the cam tail on the end of the ignition had snapped.

Do you have any resistance in the lock when the ignition key is turned?
