Getting Word to actually CHANGE LANGUAGES

So, I'm currently trying to type an essay in Spanish, but this stupid POS program won't actually change the fcking language properly. I have installed the Spanish pack for the computer, but when I select it I can type any shit and it just doesn't say if it's wrong or not. For example, I can type "fgfkgkfdgfg" and it would not register this is not a real word.

You need the Spanish Dictionary

Is that part of what you've installed?

Have you set your language preferences to Spanish?

I did install it, then it said I didn't install it so I had to install it again. And it just keeps saying it's not installed when I have installed it from the disc about 7 times already.
