A friend & i removed the engine from my 106 this afternoon and we discovered a twisted drive shaft!

This isn't good as i'm hoping my engine will have 25-30bhp more by the time its refitted.

Proper dog knotted that one!

What happened with the suspension / gearbox - that shaft looks alot shorter than ideal - hope it didnt drop off the box!

I suffered nearly similar on a P0ntiac WRS6 - then went with an Inland Empire alloy shaft - so far so good.

Robin,
No other damage except to the Smart Strut bracket on the diff, it got buckled by the shortening halfshaft. Anyway all fixed now with a pair of 'Nitros Ready' shafts for dragsters.

Sorry for hijacking your thread D-speed!
