Ok so, after a rather expensive nose job, which unfortunately involved removing the sticker that was masquerading as a license plate, I now have to fit a rather ugly and bulky piece of plastic somewhere that doesn't affect the airflow or come off at the first opportunity!

So, where's the best _legal_ spot? Horizontal on the radiator intake scoop? Back on the nose where it was to start with (see my old fotos for where)??

Oh, and what's the best thing/way/fixtures to secure said rectangular stamp of tax slavery?

I had a vinyl plate made and stuck it to the front of the car where I believe yours was (I know your car from when Simon owned it and Clive had it at his place to do some work on it some years ago). I had the plate made slightly smaller than standard so that come MOT time I can simply affix a regulation size/type plate over the top and remove once I have the ticket.
I would never fit a plate that was to obscure the radiator and don't have a problem with the position of the vinyl plate in any case.

On top of the nose is the usual place held there with a strip of double sided foam tape at each end. Seems to stay there OK. Have now replace mine with a vinyl version. Think you will have to have really pissed a cop off for them to make much of it.

I know I shouldnt but have ran the car for a couple of years without a front plate - have a stick-on one with me in the car in case of any hassle and I put this in the front windscreen when it comes to MOT time......
