I'm trying to clear all the icons off my desktop, and I can't figure out how to hide the recycle bin. I just want to move it to my documents or somewhere so I can find it easily and still use it, I just don't want the icon on the desktop. Anyone know how to do that? I'm using XP.
Thanks.

Never mind, I figured it out. All you have to do is right click anywhere on the desktop, "arrange icons by", "show desktop icons" and it hides all of them.

One thing I do on Windows boxes is turn off desktop icons, but then turn on the relevant toolbar.

Right-click on the taskbar, choose Toolbars, choose Desktop.

Unfortunately, you can't drag things to the bin when it's shown like this.

Eeek! Why would you want to run like that?

I just hid all the icons so my background pic would show up nice and uncluttered. I'll just use the start button to access programs.
