Another question about filler
Discussion
Hello
The boot of a 21 has a panel which fits just behind the fuel tank. This panel is screw one to the back of the boot.
Due to vibration and age most of the screw have fallen out and there fore need to be replaces. The problem is that the holes are now to big and for the screws so I want to fill them up and drill some new one.
After my fiasco with fibreglass I was thinking, Will it be possible to use body filler to fill the holes and will body filler be strong enough to have screws going into it?
Thanks again
Jack

If you can get to the backs of the holes, you could use P40 fibreglass reinforced filler. Messy as hell to use, but very hard when set and would enable you to build up a greater thickness of material for the self tappers to go in so they're less likely to strip in future. Same tip re heating the area to help the stuff harden in cold weather applies.
