I's sure this has been covered before but I am so pleased with the results of my labour on Saturday, got to tell someone!! Bought a load of Meguiars polishing stuff on Saturday and gave my Chim the full treatment. The paintwork was pretty good before hand, but now is absolutely superb. Shampoo - Clay - paint cleaner - polish and then wax. Took me 5 hours to do but what a difference. The best £35 I have spent in a long long time. I have always used Autoglym products and was pretty pleased with them, but Meguiars seems 2 or 3 times better. Very happy chap!!

Where's the "this thread is useless without pictures" smiley when you need it?

I don't think the level of gloss would be done justice in a photograph, probably just get a load of glare. All I can say is try the stull, you will be pleased with the results...

This has a smashing finish. I e-mailed the vendor - he said Meguiars & elbow grease.

I was thinking of buying high gloss autoglym, but you've convinced me meguiars it is. Don't fancy five hour hard labour though.

Wot? I see no piccy...!
Have you tried the top coat finish thingy from Mothers? Not the wax, the one you rub on as final coat.....use p21 stuff meself, topped with the above.
Megs stuff good, tho. Not overly keen on A.glym, really. No, I`m not a polisher type but I do like car to look good.

Shiny Dave.(bugger me piccys appeared now....)

If you go on Meguiars website they have a list of local stockists. Some Halfords sell some of the stuff. Mine looks to have a similar shine as Woody's car, which looks great. Cannot reate it highly enough. But beware, if you do the 5 part system you will have aching shoulders the next day, I certainly did!!

Well worth it though, went to get some petrol just after and 3 or 4 people metioned how "shiny" the car looked!!

I just give it a wash then put on the 2 stages, a 3 stage is only required once or twice a year so they say, I havent tried the high gloss 4th stage stuff yet, but might next time. Yeah 5 hours is about right tho!! I get all mine from a guy on here...www.maxx-waxx.com
