Halo 3 - When's it coming out?

It was supposed to be November '07 for ages. Then, last week I was told End of March!?!?!? www.play.com say it's 27th April. Is there anything reasonably official out there somewhere to say what the score is please?

Will be late november/early december like the last 2 games. The public beta testing for the multiplayer doesn't start til about June.

As with previous Bungie efforts (eg. Halo 2) the answer is simply "when it's ready".

I honestly don't know why Bungie give release dates.
