Quoting certains usernames breaks [quote][/quote]

This is an oldie, but now you've got a bit more time for GS tinkering I thought I'd mention it again, 'Ted.
If you quote a post by a user who has punctuation in their username, eg. "69elan+2" (not singling out the user, it's just the one on whom the bug has most recently manifested for me) then the [quote=username] code breaks and displays as plain text rather than being parsed.
(It's not the fault of the users in question as the GS allows such usernames)
I suspect that it is a related bug to ") getting changed to
due to special characters being converted to their HTML equivalent first eg. "e;
