Going to LM for the first time this year and was pleasantly surprised to find out that there's a big gig on the sat. night. I'm told the charlatans played last year.

Anyone heard who's playing this year?

Do they have a Gig every year? I don't remember there being one in 2005...

Not sure there will be one this year.

It hasn't been a yearly thing, but that might have changed, as last years one was popular. '03 was the last concert.

As a guest of Audi. He had cars (TT's IIRC) at either end of the stage. Was a bloody trek to find the site though. Last year's was a lot easier, though not as good...

It was my understanding that there is really only a concert when something big and new is happening.

e.g. 2006 Audi introduced the diesel cars.

I think last years concert was arranged by the ACO to celebrate the centenary year of the club. The 2003 concert was an AUDI event.

I remember the long walk trying to find it.

Sounds like it's not a dead cert then, baws. Was hoping it'd be another big indie band too.

When I spoke to the marketing director the other week he said they are planning a concert as it's the 75th anniversary of the 24hr this year. They didn't know who yet though

Is that who it was? Listened for 10 mins as I crossed the Dunlop Bridge but got bored. I assumed it was some French outfit.
