Right, don't laugh !

I've had my home computer for about 6 years, it has a monitor the size of a dog kennel and it runs Windows ME and I bought it from Tinyworld back in the days. It's shit, to be fair.

It's long overdue a replacement and so I am in the market.

My requirments are straight forward - I want to be able to play GT Legends (as I bought this ages ago but didn't realise it wouldn't run on millenium) and I want to have the ability to occassionally plug it into my 42" plasma.

Thats all... yes

Where do I shop for the best package deal and can I get something suitable within a £350-£400 budget?

Please help

Cheers

dell, novatech, aria or mesh should be able to sort you out.
Maybe get an issue of computer shopper or micro mart and look for a nice deal

(I paid £400 about 18 months ago for a P4 2.8, 1GB ram and 17" TFT monitor from Dell)

Dell, just the job for your average Joe using a PC at home.

I use a very basic Dell £300 job myself, and the Inspiron 1501 laptop I got BG junior for Christmas is a very nice thing for £400.

Your new PC arrives a few minutes after you hit the 'submit order' button, the sales bods in Ireland are terrific, and their customer service I have found to be excellent, even if it is in India.

However, I dont know anything much about computers, so I could be entirely deluded.

Dell. And have a look at the spec for GT legends, buy a bit higher than that. And have a look at the inputs of your plasma to see what it wants pumped into it - you may find that a simple VGA cable is all you need.
