The dick in that story isnt the Gallardo driver but the kids filming who took the sign warning of the new speed bump down, hence why so many people hit it at speed. furious

That seems logical yes

The cars were flying down there, which I assume is the reason a speed bump was put in. Amazed at how that Gallardo reacted....the way the back end came up so high was scarey! (I bet for the driver, too).

Would it have done much damage, do you think? (I'm thinking because of the impact coming down rather than scraping the front as it went up)

God i dont think those cars are made as rally cars, i think that would have been very expensive. I think he was very luck not to crash after a shock like that.

I think it would of nigh on ruined the front bumper and the underpants of the guy driving

I thought that too - it was probably only half that! (ever stood at the side of a motorway on the hard shoulder? 70/80mph is bloody fast!)

It looks like he kept it in a straight line afterwards, fair play!

Nasty. I wonder if the guy could claim off the local council for that damage?

feck. The local council (or whatever they call it) should be at fault for not securing the sign. It's up to them to find the chavs (so it's not just us that has to deal with them!) who removed the sign. i'd be livid if it was my car.

Doubt you get many chavs out there, but you still get teenagers.

Sure I have seen a thread about this somewhere else.
It wasnt council that put the speed bump there, it was some locals who were fed up of young people doing 140+ mph down the street at night and purposely didnt paint it
